Every year we sponsor a writing contest in our local schools. The children are asked to write an essay about their mom. The winner receives a diamond and the runner-ups get a genuine gemstone.

First, fill out your name (“Teacher’s Name”) and Grade Level on the entry form.

Then, make copies of the entry form and hand it out to your students (we prefer that they fill it out during class, to avoid lost or misplaced forms). We suggest that you use the contest as an in-class writing exercise.

After your students complete it, make a copy of their completed entry form (we ask that you keep a copy on file, because you’ll get numerous requests from parents to see their child’s essay—especially if they win).

Entries must be received by Friday, April 2, 2010.

Entries may be mailed by school or by individual class or delivered to our store.

All entries are read and evaluated by contest judges; winners are selected based on thoughtfulness & creativity.

Contest is open to students in grades first through sixth.

A stone will be awarded in every classroom that participates.

Winners will be selected by the end of April, 2010.

Prizes are genuine diamonds and gemstones.

Winning diamonds and gemstones are free.
